Aged and Community Services Australia

Aged and Community Services Australia Incorporated is a national peak body representing over 1200 church, charitable and community-based organisations, providing accommodation and care services to over 450 000 older Australians, people with a disability and their carers.

Aged Care Association Australia

The Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA) is a professional, national industry association for providers of quality residential and community aged care services.

A federated peak body, ACAA is the only organisation that represents care providers from the private and voluntary sectors on a national basis.

ACAA provides a truly representative voice for the residential care industry to the Australian, state and territory governments, and all associated agencies and professional bodies, via a structure of autonomous state associations.

ACAA provides members with a range of national and local services and benefits.

Council on the Ageing

The Council on the Ageing (COTA) is the peak independent consumer organisation run by and for senior Australians dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of older people. COTA is Australia's leading seniors' organisation, with individual members and seniors organisation members in all states and territories.

Aged Rights Advocacy Service

The Aged Rights Advocacy Service (ARAS) offers a free, confidential and independent service to older people (or their representatives) who are: ARAS provides advocacy assistance that supports older people’s rights and is the South Australian component of the National Aged Care Advocacy Program. The ARAS website provides more information about the range of work that ARAS undertakes, and about advocacy.

The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency is an independent company established under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, and subject to the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997. It’s the body appointed by the Department of Health and Ageing to help with:
