Vascular dementia

Veterans Affairs Network
The Veterans' Affairs Network (VAN) was introduced by the Department of Veterans' Affairs to promote independence and quality of life to the veteran community in their local environment and to facilitate access to DVA programmes and services. VAN assists veterans and their families to obtain information about DVA benefits and to locate and use financial, health and community services in their area. VAN has a role in assisting with the implementation of DVA policies. This may range from information provision, to hands on assistance with implementation and to reporting back the overall effectiveness of the policy and any related issues.Veterans Home Care
Veterans' Home Care (VHC) is a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) program that helps Australia’s veterans, war widows and widowers with low care needs to remain in their own homes for longer. VHC is not an entitlement-based program like most other veterans’ programs but a fixed budget program. VHC provides services including domestic assistance, personal care as well as gardening and home maintenance.Read more: About veterans
