Common question

Question: What happens if I can't afford to pay my fees once I'm in an Aged Care home?
Answer: If you cannot pay the fees required, you can submit an Application for Financial Hardship Assistance form or contact the Aged Care information Line 1800 500 853 who can send you a copy. Note: Financial hardship assistance is not usually granted where you or your representative have made personal choices that have resulted in you being unable to meet your costs of care. These include (but are not limited to) entering an extra service home or gifting money or assets.
