Help with aged care homes

Common question

Question: My family are suggesting that I need to go into an aged care home. Do I have to?
Answer: The decision is yours, but talk to your family about why they are so concerned. If you are not able to manage safely at home, or you are very dependent on your family, you may wish to consider having some help in the home. You can talk to your doctor about this, or contact your local Aged Care Assessment Team for more information.
