Common question
| Question: | What do I do if I'm not happy with the care I'm receiving in an aged care home? |
| Answer: | Aged care homes are required to meet specific Accreditation Standards and outcomes relating to the health and personal care of care recipients. You can discuss your care needs with the Care Manager at the home at any time. If you believe that care is inadequate, however, you may wish to discuss your rights with the National Aged Care Advocacy Line on 1800 700 600 (toll-free). Alternatively, you can contact the Aged Care Complaints Scheme on 1800 550 552 (toll-free) to discuss options for dealing with your concerns. For more information, visit the Aged Care Complaints Scheme website. Read more: About accreditation standards |
