Question: My father is sharing a room with three other men. It is like a hospital ward. Aren't aged care homes supposed to be different?
Answer: All residential care homes constructed before July 1999 are required to house no more than 4 residents in any room. All residential care homes constructed after July 1999 are required to have no more than 2 residents in any room, with an average of 1.5 residents per room across the whole home.
