Common question
| Question: | I am a war veteran from another country but now an Australian citizen. Should I go to DVA or Centrelink for my income assessment? |
| Answer: | If you don’t have a Gold or White Repatriation Health Care from DVA, you should go to Centrelink unless you are a veteran from another Commonwealth country, in which case you should contact DVA to assess your status. Veterans from other countries are not eligible for Veteran Home Care Services through DVA but they are eligible for all other Australian Government aged care services.
